Refunds and Returns

1. Cancellation Policy

Under UK Distance Selling Regulations, customers have the right to cancel their order for any item purchased on our website at any time before the goods are dispatched, or within seven (7) days of receiving the goods. A full refund will be issued, excluding the cost of return shipping, provided that the goods are not “custom” or “bespoke” items and that the buyer has taken reasonable care of the goods while in their possession. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
If an order is cancelled after the seven (7) day cooling-off period, cancellation will be subject to acceptance by AK Surface Solutions Ltd. A restocking and/or administration charge may apply. Cancellation of “custom” or “bespoke” items may not be possible once manufacture has begun or once the order has been dispatched. Where accepted, such cancellations may also be subject to restocking or administration charges. The buyer may be required to return items at their own expense using a suitable courier.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing, either by email to [insert AK Surface Solutions email address] or by post to our business address. Please note that any cancellation may be subject to restocking fees, and original delivery charges will not be refunded.

2. Returns Policy

Where goods are no longer required, a return may be accepted at the discretion of AK Surface Solutions Ltd. If a return is agreed, the buyer must arrange transport to our premises at their own expense. Returned goods will be inspected upon receipt, and any refund issued will be at the seller’s discretion. Please note that “custom” or “bespoke” items may not be returned. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
If the buyer receives sub-standard or incorrect goods, they must notify AK Surface Solutions Ltd within seven (7) days of receiving the order. In such cases, we may arrange the collection of the goods for inspection. If the goods are found to be faulty or incorrect, we will offer either a full refund or a replacement. If, however, the goods are deemed satisfactory and in accordance with the order, they will be returned to the buyer at the buyer’s expense.
Where goods have been used or installed, this will be considered conclusive evidence that the buyer has accepted the goods as being in perfect condition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the goods are suitable for their intended purpose and that installation conditions are correct at the time of ordering or acceptance of a quotation.

3. Refunds

Refunds will be processed within fourteen (2) days of the goods being returned to us, subject to the conditions outlined in the Cancellation and Returns sections above. Refunds will be issued using the original payment method wherever possible.
Original delivery charges are non-refundable, except where goods are proven to be faulty or incorrect. In cases where a restocking or administration fee applies, this will be deducted from the refund amount.
Please note that refunds will not be issued for “custom” or “bespoke” goods unless they are found to be faulty.

4. Damaged Goods on Delivery

Customers are required to check all goods upon delivery. Any damage or shortages must be reported to AK Surface Solutions Ltd within 24–48 hours of receipt. Failure to report within this time frame may affect eligibility for a refund or replacement.
