Suitable Applications
YS ONE is ideal for use on quartz-resin agglomerates, polished or natural porcelain, textured porcelain, granite, and clinker. It is suitable for areas such as outdoor patios, terraces, facades, and wet areas like bathrooms and swimming pool surrounds. Not suitable for acid-sensitive materials.
How to Use
Preparation
- Clean the surface thoroughly, removing all dust, dirt, and previous treatments.
- Ensure surfaces are dry before application.
- Avoid application in direct sunlight or on overheated surfaces.
- Maintain temperature between +5°C and +40°C.
- Protect adjacent, untreated areas.
Contact Time Testing
Conduct a small test on an inconspicuous area to determine the appropriate contact time:
- Ceramic/stoneware: 10 to 40 minutes
- Clinker and quartz agglomerates: 30 to 60 minutes
- Granite: 60 to 90 minutes
Application
- Apply an undiluted, even coat using a brush, roller, or lambswool applicator.
- Maintain the surface wetted with product for the tested contact time.
- Remove excess material using a liquid vacuum or absorbent cloth.
- Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
- For large areas, divide into manageable sections to ensure uniform coverage.
Final Steps
Surfaces can be opened to traffic once dried and cleaned. Use Faber Neugel or AlgaFloor for regular cleaning; for deep cleaning, use Faber 30 or Deterfug.
