Product Overview

ABR 600 is a multi-purpose abrasive cream containing special fillers that work through a micro-abrasive polishing action. It delivers different results according to the material and existing surface finish, from intermediate honing of natural stone to scratch recovery and smoothing of textured flooring.

Suitable Applications

• Polished natural stone: replaces intermediate mechanical polishing stages corresponding to diamond resin pad grit sizes 400–800.
• Brushed natural stone: replaces mechanical brushing, removing scratches and blemishes while cleaning the surface deeply.
• Ceramic, porcelain and textured stoneware flooring: can improve scratches and scuffs and increase dirt resistance without significantly changing the original shine.
• Polished surfaces without shine: can produce a soft, even, matt honed finish without the characteristic scratches left by mechanical polishing.

How to Use

Preparation

• Test on a small, inconspicuous area or unused piece of material before treating the whole surface.
• Clean thoroughly to remove dust and dirt, and protect adjacent surfaces that are not being treated.
• Work in sections of approximately 2 m².
• Make the surface as dry as possible. Slightly damp surfaces are acceptable, but never apply to wet surfaces.
• Apply only when the surface temperature is between +5°C and +40°C.

Application

• Shake the bottle well. Pour 2–3 spoonfuls of cream onto the surface; this is sufficient for approximately 2 m².
• Add a small amount of water. As a rough guide, use around one spoonful of water for each spoonful of product.
• Immediately work the cream with a single-disc machine fitted with a white pad, operating at 150–200 rpm. Cover the section evenly, passing over each area the same number of times.
• Maintain a fluid, creamy consistency throughout application. Add a little water gradually if the mixture becomes too dry.
• Continue until the required result is achieved. Remove a small patch of cream with a squeegee mop or similar tool to check the finish.
• Vacuum or remove the residues, then rinse with plenty of clean water.

The desired result is generally achieved within 15–25 passes of the machine. Equipment can be washed with water after use.

Application Guidance

• Do not allow the product to dry during application.
• Do not apply to overly heated surfaces.
• Do not use on buffed material unless specifically required.
• On recently laid or grouted surfaces, wait until the adhesive or grout has cured completely.

Keep the container tightly closed. Store in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will ABR 600 produce a glossy finish?

The result depends on the surface. On polished surfaces without shine, it can create a matt, soft and even honed finish. On ceramic, porcelain and textured stoneware flooring, it can improve scratches and scuffs without significantly changing the original shine.

When can the floor be used after treatment?

The floor can be opened for use after all residues have been carefully removed and the surface has been rinsed with water.

How should a treated surface be maintained?

NEUGEL or ALGAFLOOR is recommended for daily maintenance. For heavy-duty cleaning, use FABER 30 or DETERFUG according to the type of dirt and the material being cleaned.
