Product Overview

EPOXY RESIDUE REMOVER is an alkaline cleaner developed to remove residues and films left by grouting and sealing with epoxy-based products. It also removes synthetic residues, including graffiti, paint and enamels, even when stubborn or long-standing.

Suitable Surfaces

• Natural stone: slate, sandstone, Basaltina/lava stone, molten basalt, granite, limestone, marble, porphyry, quartzite, travertine and tuff.
• Agglomerates and reconstituted stone: marble-cement, marble-resin and marble-quartz agglomerates, and reconstituted stone (Eco stone).
• Ceramics and porcelain: craquelé ceramics, glazed ceramics, clinker, natural porcelain tiles and textured porcelain tiles.
• Concrete and clay surfaces: concrete tiles, concrete, cotto and terracotta.

Always test an inconspicuous area or unused piece of material before treating the whole surface. On polished or glazed polished porcelain tiles, check suitability and reduce the contact time if necessary.

How to Use

Prepare the surface

• Remove dust, debris and coarse dirt with a broom or vacuum cleaner.
• Work in small areas, sized according to the material’s absorption. On highly absorbent surfaces such as terracotta, treat no more than 4–5 m² at a time.
• Protect nearby surfaces that are not being treated.

Apply and work the cleaner

• Apply the product undiluted and allow approximately 10–15 minutes for light residues or 20–30 minutes for hardened, stubborn residues.
• Work the product periodically with a suitable pad or brush to enhance its dissolving action.
• Use a white pad on polished or delicate surfaces such as marble, limestone and glazed materials. Use a green or light blue pad on rough, unpolished surfaces such as terracotta and concrete.
• Keep the surface covered with a fine layer of product throughout treatment. On absorbent materials, add more product as necessary to compensate for absorption.

Remove residues and rinse

• Add sufficient clean water to form an emulsion with the cleaning solution.
• Distribute evenly using a single-disc machine or brush, then remove the excess. A wet vacuum is recommended for this stage.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• If further treatment is needed, allow the surface to dry completely, all the way through, before repeating the application.
• Wash application equipment with water after use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it need diluting?

No. The cleaner is supplied ready to use and should be applied undiluted. Water is added after the contact time to emulsify the cleaning solution before removal and thorough rinsing.

Can I use it on marble or limestone?

Marble and limestone are listed as suitable surfaces. Test an inconspicuous area or unused piece first to confirm suitability, and use a white pad on polished or delicate finishes.

Can it remove paint and graffiti?

Yes. It is formulated to remove synthetic residues including graffiti, paint and enamels, even when stubborn or long-standing.

When can the floor be used again?

After thorough rinsing, the floor can be used as soon as it is dry. Before repeating the treatment, wait until the surface is completely dry throughout. Drying time varies according to the material and its absorption.
