DETERFUG is a slightly acidic cleaner developed for removing stubborn dirt from acid-resistant surfaces. Its cleaning action reaches into pores and surface textures, making it effective against both organic and inorganic dirt.
It also removes surface films caused by incorrect post-installation cleaning, insufficient maintenance or deposits from unsuitable daily cleaners.
Key Benefits
Fast-acting cleaning action for stubborn dirt.
Works into pores and textured surfaces.
Removes metal marks from acid-resistant surfaces.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor cleaning.
Can be used undiluted or diluted to suit the cleaning task.
Suitable Surfaces
Suitable for the following acid-resistant materials:
Quartz agglomerate, slate and sandstone.
Basaltina–lava stone and molten basalt.
Clinker, cotto and terracotta.
Granite, porphyry, quartzite and tuff.
Polished, natural and textured porcelain tiles.
Reconstituted stone (Eco stone).
Do not use on acid-sensitive materials. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area or an unused piece of material before treating the whole surface.
How to Use
Preparation and dilution
Remove dust, debris and loose dirt with a broom or vacuum cleaner.
Protect adjacent surfaces that are not being treated.
Work in small sections according to the material’s absorbency. On highly absorbent surfaces such as terracotta, treat no more than 4–5 m² at a time.
Stubborn surface film removal: use undiluted.
Heavy-duty cleaning of substantial stubborn dirt: mix 1 part product with 2 parts water.
Periodic floor cleaning: mix 1 part product with 9 parts water.
Application and rinsing
Apply evenly across the area being cleaned and work vigorously with a single-disc machine or large brush.
Allow approximately 10–15 minutes of contact time, working the solution periodically to enhance the cleaning action.
On particularly absorbent surfaces, add more product if necessary to compensate for absorption.
Select the disc or brush abrasiveness according to the material and the dirt or treatment being removed.
Add sufficient clean water to form an emulsion with the cleaning solution, then distribute with the machine or brush.
Remove the liquid, preferably with a wet vacuum, or alternatively with cloths or absorbent paper towels.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if required, allowing the surface to dry completely throughout before reapplying.
Wash application equipment with water after use.
Application Guidance
On recently laid or grouted surfaces, wait until the adhesive or grout has cured completely.
Do not mix with other chemicals.
Technical Information
Coverage: 10–15 m² per litre.
