A2 MIX is a white, wax-free powder for wet polishing marble and lime-based materials. It reacts with the treated material to enhance clarity and depth of shine, leaving a deep, vitreous finish. It can be used for polishing after grinding, restoring shine on worn surfaces and maintaining an existing polished finish.

How to Use

Surface preparation

• Test on a small, unexposed area or an unused piece of material before treating the whole surface.
• Clean thoroughly to remove dust and dirt, and protect adjacent surfaces that are not being treated.
• Ensure the surface is as dry as possible. Slightly damp surfaces are acceptable, but never apply to a wet surface.
• Work in sections of approximately 2 m².
• Apply only when the surface temperature is between +5 and +40°C. Do not apply to overly heated surfaces.
• On recently laid or grouted surfaces, allow the adhesive or grout to cure completely before application.

Polishing

• Place 2–3 spoonfuls of powder onto the section being treated.
• Add enough water to form a creamy, fluid paste. As a rough guide, use around 2 spoonfuls of water for each spoonful of powder.
• Immediately work the paste using a single disc machine with at least 1.5 HP, fitted with a white pad and operating at 150–200 rpm.
• Cover the section evenly, passing over each part the same number of times.
• Maintain a creamy consistency throughout. Add small amounts of water as needed and do not allow the product to dry.
• Continue buffing until maximum shine is achieved. Check progress by clearing a small area with a squeegee mop or similar.
• Vacuum or remove the residues before moving to the next section. After completing the work, remove all remaining residues and rinse with water.

Restoration and maintenance passes

For polishing after grinding or restoring particularly worn surfaces, pass over each section at least 20–25 times. For shine maintenance, use around 1–2 spoonfuls of powder per section and make 10–15 passes.

Clean application equipment with water after use.

The technical data sheet recommends NEUGEL or ALGAFLOOR for daily maintenance and FABER 30 for heavy-duty cleaning of surfaces treated with A2 MIX.
